Pike's Peak Trip!

Last weekend we had a visit from Jeff's brother Steve. We all got in the car & went to Colorado Springs & Pike's Peak. It was an all day event but it was SO worth it! Brandon was a little concerned about the edge of the road on the way up. He said at one point to himself, "just don't look down, just don't look down". Kinda funny but I totally relate to the height fear. Ryan on the other hand was Mr. No Fear. He just isn't there yet. He made me nervous a couple of times. He just headed for the edge. There was a lot to see even just getting up to the top. They have it all labeled so you know how high you're getting. It is weird to see how at a certain level there are no more trees. The climate change was obvious. Once at the top it was definately colder. And we could see forever! It was just amazing, if you ever get the chance to go you should. We hiked around and down towards the edge and got some neat pictures. You might even notice I was forced to give up my camera a few times. Jeff & Steve made sure there was proof I was with them! :) It was nice to have a couple days to catch up with Steve. We love it when any family stops by. I know the boys always love to have someone new to play with.
