We took a nice little trip to Moab a couple weekends ago. We met up with our friends from Colorado. It was their first time to Moab. We had a lot of fun riding the bikes and hiking up to the arches in Arches National Park. The weather was actually very nice when we first got there. but Saturday we loaded up the bikes to make a ride on Gemini Bridges. Then Jeff looked up and saw a very dark cloud coming right towards our camp. We decided we better wait cause if it rained too much we might get stuck trying to drive out. Little did we know what was really coming our way. A 30 minute hail/rain storm. It totally dumped on us. Brandon's tent was blowing away so I had to hold it down while Jeff pulled all the sleeping bags out and put them in our tent. Figured best to save the bedding and if the tent flew away he would at least have something to sleep on in our tent. We got the kids into the Seqouia so they would stay dry and warm. While we were focusing on our tents the wind then picked up our shade canopy and blew it away and breaking one of the legs off. When all said & done, Jeff & I were totally soaked. The sun came out and dried up all the bedding. And it was nice enough weather for us to get out and go in to Arches. We are thankful no one was hurt and we still had good enough weather to enjoy the trip. Here are a few of the pictures we took.
