Fun Filled Weekend!

We had a lot of work & Play this weekend! We worked hard on putting up our retaining wall. Then we got to go play at the Fall Festival for Brandon's school. The kids liked that a lot. Then we bought & carved our pumpkins. The kids are getting excited to go trick or treating. I'll have lots more pictures later of that!

My Dad, Mom & Sister Shanna came for a visit. We had a lot of fun catching up with them. Shanna had a b-day so we got to have a mini party for her. The kids really enjoying seeing them all again. They are still asking when we get to go see them. I have to tell them in a little while. See you all at Thanksgiving!

Trip to the Nature & Science Museum

On Saturday we decided to take the boys and go see the Nature & Science Museum. There was a lot of cool stuff to see. The boys liked it but the little guys got tired after about 3 hours. There was way more to see but they were getting restless. It was great to have Paul & Elizabeth here for the weekend. We had a lot of fun!

Can you believe it has been 5 years?.....

So yesterday was Jeff & I's 5th Wedding anniversary. Although this month we'll have been together for 10 years! How time flies. He has been keeping the secret about our plans for the past couple weeks. All he would tell me was I needed to dress up nice and not to worry about a babysitter. I thought I could get some hints from him here and there but with no luck. I came home from work Thursday night to a huge vase of peach roses. Then Friday I went to get my nails done, while I was gone he had cleaned up the whole house and was cooking stuff. So I think ok I get dinner. But still thinking because I had to dress up that we'd be going out. Then his brother Paul & his fiance showed up. And Jeff had all the boys dressed up too. So I'm thinking where are we ALL going? Turns out Jeff had made a 7 course dinner for all of us. It was Awesome! Kinda wierd to think I was all dressed up and not going out. But it was still a lot of fun and very yummy food. I must say Jeff has done well. I always kid him about not being romantic, well this time he showed me that he can be. I have to say that I have been very blessed with a very caring and loving husband. He is my best friend and I can't imagine my life without him in it. I look forward to the years to come. Thanks Jeff for all you do and for putting up with me. I know it's not always been easy but it has been worth it. Happy Anniversary Honey! Yay Fall is here!

Our boys sitting on big rocks One of the bucks we saw Tyson & Ryan by a big tree All of us! We've had a few boring weeks. I LOVE the fall! I really wanted to see all the colorful trees. So we pulled up the map and found an area called Boulder Mountain Park. It is about an hour and a half away. (I miss the 20 minute drive in Utah) We decided to take our drive up there since we haven't ever gone there. So it was a great place to see but for the life of me I never would have thought there wouldn't be any aspens up there. There were a few but for the most part it was all Pine. There were a couple great over looks and awesome rock areas. It was still beautiful, just not what I was expecting I guess. We came across two buck deer as we were driving, they so just stood there. I felt like I almost could reach out and touch them they were so close. The other day I figured out that my video camera tripod fit my digital camera. So I thought great we can set that up and use the timer to get some nice family pictures with all the pretty trees. Well, it only took me three tries to get the timer figured out. I got a couple good pictures, I need more practice that is for sure. All in all it was a great time, got a little rain but not too bad til we got home and it was down pour. Oh and we left all the windows in our house open. Floors were all wet!
