Scooting along.....

My parents gave the boys scooters for Christmas. Two weekends ago the weather was in the 60's almost 70. So we took the kids out to the park to try out the scooters. Needless to say they LOVE them. It was a lot of fun to watch them. Brandon has no fear he jumped off the steps rode all over the ramps. The little guys tried to follow the first couple of times but soon realized they aren't skilled enough. Tyson & Ryan had a few crashed but no injuries. Thank Goodness. Later that week we had a very warm day so the play group from church got together at the park. I almost thought I was getting sun burned it was so warm. The kids had a great time. Now the weather is back to the cold snowy stuff that January usually is. What a tease! I'm so looking forward to Spring so the kids can get out again!

Our little Monkey, Ryan......

So all you other parents out there probably know that when the kids get quiet they are probably doing something they are not suppose to. Well the other evening we noticed Ryan had left the room and was no where to be heard. We looked around and finally checked our bedroom. This what we found... (just happened that the camera was up on the dresser too!) And of course we just had to find out where and how he got the candy. Jeff asked Ryan to show us how and where he got the candy. Here is the little monkey in action! It was one of those moments where you want to laugh at them but you know if you do they will think it is ok to repeat in the future. Needless to say we had a little chat after about it and let him know that not only was it wrong but VERY dangerous! I guess it is a good thing he only weights 35 lbs.

Happy New Year!

We want to wish everyone a Happy 2009! Can you believe another year has past?... We had a fun Christmas holiday. Everyone was feeling well enough to have a good time. I got up early, like 6:30 to make breakfast for all of us. (Thinking the kids would be up around 7). Ryan is a kid that gets up with the sun. And I thought Brandon would be so excited to see what he got. But NO they all slept til 9:00! I had to get them out of bed to eat. Thankfully they let me take a nap later that afternoon so I could have the energy to cook dinner. The kids got a lot of fun stuff and a few clothes. The family got the Wii Fit. Jeff & I have used a few times already. I think he is in better shape or he is not doing it right cause he feels very little pain after. Me on the other hand I get seriously sore. I couldn't walk right for like 3 days! Hopefully that means its working. We had Jeff's brother and his fiance up for Christmas. It was nice to have a little family to share it with. It took us 2 days to open everything. Just because we take turns and let the kids play as they g. Santa gave Tyson & Ryan motorcycle toys and they happen to be one of the first opened. They didn't want to open anything else for a while cause they would rather play with them. Brandon got a Bow & Arrows from Santa. He got a real acoustic guitar from Jeff's parents. He is so excited to have Jeff work with him to play it. They have to tune it then he'll be set. Santa sure thought they were good kids this year. I missed being able to see my family at my mom & dad's house. But we are getting used to having our little Christmas here too. Here are a few pictures....
